Print what's important to you

...or you might lose it...
...and perhaps scan it again so you can take care of storing it properly.
Honestly, I still don't know if I'm thorough enough when it comes to storing my files securely. I have a NAS with a simple RAID in it (redundancy in case one of the hard drives fails). Photos are (hopefully) securely saved in the cloud. All my code is in private git repos on servers that I blindly trust. I'm probably in the middle ground.
My oldest file (very likely named something like Unbenannt (2).jpg) survived printed out on a piece of paper. I drew it when I visited my aunt who worked at the University and luckily had a printer so I could take it home.
Sometimes it’s good to have a physical copy.
